Repressing emotions

Repression of emotions reflects on your mental health. Many people choose to ignore or repress their feelings regarding a job they hate or a partner that makes them unhappy for as long as possible. It could be bad timing for a change but your well-being should always come first. The more we repress and the longer we wait, the more intense the anxiety will get.

Have you ever experienced a heavy chest and a feeling of hopelessness out of the blue? Have you run out to a conference room to cry but don’t know why you reacted in such a way? Did your heart start racing which gave you a sudden feeling of panic? This is probably your body signaling that you have to listen to your unconscious needs rather than push forward the conscious thoughts about money, your career, what your parents want, or what society expects you to choose. This is your life, at the end of the day and your body is already screaming for you to pay attention to what to really want in life for yourself.

Anxiety is the way for your body to signal that something is wrong. Pay attentiuon and take action.

Intuition

Many people say they are intuitive and some are very much calculative, but eventually, everyone’s body will start reflecting on what is on the mind, no matter how sensitive you are. The body and mind are the undivided part of your being and it is important to listen to both. In fact, less sensitive people, actually, suffer from anxiety attacks more often because they repress their emotions and feelings more.

What is important to know when you are entering the anxiety phase?

  1. Take 3 deep breaths when you feel an attack coming and take yourself to your happy place.
  2. Do not consume caffeine or alcoholic drinks.
  3. Drink lavender buds tea for some days to make the symptoms milder.
